What's in store for the 2023 cookie season?
Ladyslippers Girl Scout Troop 58114 has set a cookie goal of 4,400 boxes sold. Pre-sales of the season go live February 10th, while cookies are in hand for "Go Day" February 17th. The troop has big goals ahead and will be working hard to accomplish meeting their above overall troop goal.
All cookie proceeds stay local! In fact, 76% of the cost of each box is reinvested in local Girl Scouts! That’s right, all the money that a council and its troops raise through the Girl Scout Cookie Program—every penny after paying the baker—stays with that council and its troops. Girl Scout councils do not provide any portion of their cookie revenue to Girl Scouts of the USA. 22% of overall proceeds from our troops sales go directly to our troop rewards and ongoing education as well as service projects.
This season by meeting this goal the Ladyslippers will be taking their 2nd annual camping trip to Jeanette Pollay located in Duluth. Scouts will get to explore Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and much more. Connecting with nature and touring all our state has to offer brings opportunities to learn both survival skills and the unique landmarks Minnesota has to offer. As apart of cookie profits we also support new badges, expand skills, materials to support service projects and overall bonding experiencs.
Ladyslippers are ready to start the 2023 cookie season with enthusiasm and excitement. We look forward to planning new community projects and can't do it without support. Consider supporting our troop with a purchase of your favorite cookies or Donate a box through our Care to Share program.
