What can we expect from Ladyslippers GS Troop 58114 this holiday season?
Girls from troop 58114 have not only donated food for the Thanksgiving holiday but they are working towards our annual toy drive. During the holiday season Ladyslippers work on ensuring every child has a gift to celebrate.
In partnership with the Ronald Mcdonald house program Ladyslippers from troop 58114 have a plan of action. The RMHC has been keeping children and their families together since 1974. They continue to help families and sick children feel at home, even when they can't be. RMHC supports families and children by helping them access medical resources they need.
Our goal this year is to support the RMHC program with toy donations to help stock the "Magic Room" at RMHC. The Magic Room is a valuable resource available to families utilizing the Ronald Mcdonald House program. By ensuring families access to comfort items upon their arrival at RMHC, each child in a guest family is given a token which grants them access to the Magic Room. Under the cheerful rainbow canopy, children are able to select a toy from floor-to-ceiling shelves of toys, books, and games.
In a family's time of medical uncertainty Brownie Scouts of troop 58114 hope to make children's experiences a positive one.
If you would also like to contribute please consider supporting Ladyslippers GS Troop 58114 with a toy donation during our Holiday Toy Drive.
